YAY! Thanks for that! I know I'm being nitpicky but I'm a little sad Corinne is wearing a gold gown and not a green one. I know it seems small but with Andrews books, the details always seemed more important than the story. I also see they are going with the Grandmother cutting Cathy's hair and not the tar bit. I don't know, but one of the comical bits of Flowers In the Attic in the book is that no matter how many horrible things happen to the kids, the mere thought of cutting Cathy's beautiful blond hair was made out to be the worst thing in the world! So much so that VC Andrews could never do to our poor protagonist. The horror of giving her a mullet was as close as she could get! Fingers crossed they got the swan bed right! That was like a character itself!
After the movie post went live, my best friend and I talked INTO THE NEW YEAR about the swan bed and how iconic it is and how we hoped so much it would be in the new film and that they would do it justice.
I think the books, especially Flowers, are all about those great tiny details that everyone remembers and obsesses over, like Corrine's green Christmas dress and the doughnuts and the dollhouse and Cory in the trunk and the itty-bitty black-and-white tv that was such a big deal in the 50s.

ReplyDeleteAaaah, an update - pretty please. Or maybe a copy of that 4 minute long leaked trailer from Lifetime that we actually can download.
ReplyDeleteYou must've been typing this comment as I was hitting the publish button. The surprise post is up now, and regular posting is coming soon.
DeleteAs for the long version of the trailer, the only place that has it up right now is here: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x1772cs_fita_shortfilms
